Round Tables on Public-Private Partnership & the Role of Local Authorities

14

Lebanon’s government and international donors have been looking to public-private partnerships (PPP) as a lifeline for the country’s ailing economy and deteriorating infrastructure. As such, and in partnership with Democracy Reporting International (D.R.I.), SALAR International contributed to the publication of the PPP briefing paper.

The publication resulted from 2 round tables held in the Grand Serail in Beirut and a third session via Zoom. These round tables gathered different actors on the national and the international levels such as The Higher Council for Privatization, Democracy Reporting International, consultants, experts in PPP, local NGOs, international organizations (L.F.P.C.P., World Bank UNDP, OECD), and a various number of municipalities and the union of municipalities like the municipality of Bikfaya-Mhaydseh, the municipality of Qabrikha, Fayhaa union of municipalities, and Jezzine union of municipalities.
