SALAR International, in collaboration with G8T Solutions S.A.R.L., launched 2 web-portals for both Jurd Al-Qayteh and Dreib Al-Awsat union of municipalities.
The web portals are designed to improve transparency, access to information, interaction with community members, and visibility for the union of municipalities.
Synchronization of Projects
The web-portals are linked to the municipal system and the touristic map, and divided into different sections that cover:
- News: inclusive news for different community groups;
- Announcements: that concern citizens and refugees;
- Projects: including projects implemented with partners due to the Syrian refugee crisis;
- Municipal information: to help donors and partners know about the area and its needs;
- Awareness videos and photos: for the hosting community and refugees;
- Complaint mechanism: open to public and refugees;
- Active citizenship: photos and videos of citizens including refugees that are doing community work within the union of municipalities.
In an effort aimed at sustaining the project, SALAR International also trained the union of municipalities staff on content writing as well as technical processes to move forward with the two web portals launched in April 2021: http://jourdelkaytea.gov.lb/ and http://dreibalawsat.gov.lb/
